Juntos Belize | Meet the Team
Each member of Team Juntos brings unique expertise to our mission, from strategic business development and innovative marketing approaches to thoughtful mentorship and community empowerment.
What unites us? An unwavering belief that Belize's greatest business success stories are yet to be written, and we're here to help write them. Meet the individuals dedicated to turning the visions of entrepreneurs and small business leaders into reality.
John Black
As CFO/Treasurer, John keeps our financial house in order. He constantly reminds us that money doesn't grow on trees and good accounting practices are more important than personal hygiene. He oversees our financial health, budget planning, and compliance with the same precision he uses to balance his morning coffee intake. His commitment to maintaining strong financial oversight helps ensure the organization's long-term stability and impact - and he's been known to make spreadsheets actually sound exciting.
Mark Gibson
Tending toward focus on facts more than feelings, Mark’s candid perspectives and sharp business acumen make him an invaluable asset to Juntos Belize and the small business leaders we serve. Mark's ability to cut through complexity and deliver priceless, straight-shooting advice helps guide small business leaders through challenges of all shapes and sizes. We thrive on his shrewd business judgment and refreshing honesty to help propel Juntos Belize forward.
Susan Gilchrist (In Memorium)
We mourn the loss of Susan Gilchrist (1962-2024), whose passionate commitment to serving others left an indelible mark on our team and the people she served. Susan brought the same adventurous spirit and dedication to our mission that characterized her entire life. She approached her philanthropic work with Juntos Belize with characteristic enthusiasm and purpose. Her faith-driven desire to better the world around her made us better than we deserved. While we deeply feel her loss, Susan's legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the positive changes she helped bring about in Belize.
Andrew Graham
With decades in the small business trenches, Andrew has seen enough business plans to know what works, what doesn't, and most importantly, why. In a world of constant chatter, he’s mastered the art of making every word count. Armed with perfectly timed questions and strategic silences, Andrew turns "That's how we've always done it" into "What if we tried..." proposals for effecting change. Behind his pensive demeanor lies a mind that's usually three paradigm shifts ahead of the conversation.
Wes and Jessica Jennings
Wes and Jessica Jennings bring their unique blend of practical magic to the team. While Wes claims he's just a tractor mechanic, he has a remarkable way of fixing more than just engines - he's a natural at mending hearts and cultivating souls through his gift for evangelism and discipleship. His ability to pull hope out of thin air (and the occasional quarter from behind someone's ear) truly sets him apart. Together, they're proof that God works through both the practical and the miraculous, whether that means getting a stubborn tractor to start or helping someone start their journey of faith. Both Wes and Jessica currently serve as full-time missionaries in Belize.
Greg Pogue
Greg brings a truly rare blend of spiritual insight and quiet wisdom to Juntos Belize. He has the capacity to transform a group of casual listeners into an engaged community through authentic, measured guidance. When Greg speaks, the room listens - not because he's the loudest voice, but because he's usually the wisest. His thoughtful contributions often serve as turning points in any discussion, proving that mindful leadership doesn't need a megaphone to inspire genuine connection and spiritual growth. The depth of his perspectives on business strategy, community building, and organizational direction is exceeded only by the vastness of his collection of teeshirts from Chuy’s Mexican restaurants.
Eileen Reed
Meet Eileen. She brings the kind of intellectual firepower that makes quantum physics look like a children's puzzle. She has an uncanny ability to unravel complex problems while making the rest of us feel both enlightened and slightly intimidated. By day, she’s a professional consulting superhero, helping educational institutions navigate the post-COVID landscape where "unmute yourself" is now the new "please raise your hand." She’s passionate about helping her clients define and deploy best leadership practices and success strategies, and transforming educational institutions into well-oiled machines that actually embrace change. And by night, she's probably still doing that because academics never sleep.
Richard Talbot
Richard has the unique capacity to successfully navigate high wind and shallow water to keep Juntos Belize between the red and green buoys. Some might say he tackles the thorniest of issues just to earn enough karma points for perfect fishing weather, but either way he’s fully onboard for untangling knots and keeping our hooks in the water.
